Hi — I'm Kingston.
I've been shooting video in Utah for five years. Crux Media Productions is me — I run the camera, cut the edit, and send the invoice.
I picked up a camera because I didn't want to leave rugby. When I stopped playing, filming was how I stayed in it: still on the sideline, still part of the thing. It turned out I liked the work as much as I'd liked the sport, so I started shooting weddings for friends and family. Around the same time my mom and brother got their real estate licenses, and I started making listing videos for them, then for the agents they knew. That's how three very different kinds of work ended up under one roof.
Working solo is a deliberate choice. It means I'm limited in how much I can take on, but it also means the person you talked to on the phone is the person who shows up, and nothing gets lost between a producer and an editor who've never met you.
I'm based in Orem and shoot throughout Utah County, Salt Lake, and the rest of the Wasatch Front — travel is included anywhere within 50 miles. Farther than that, in state or out of it, just ask. I've got no problem getting on a plane if the project's right.
